Course Content
Script-kids – for children aged 8-11. We use Scratch. a fantastic visual based code editor to help them create entertaining animations, games and interactive tales. Our aim is to help them build confidence and develop their computational and creative thinking skills.
Gadgeteers – for children aged 8-11. This course is more hands-on, we will run projects based around a Microbit microcontroller that will allow the children to see the code they write do things in the real world. As well as teaching programming fundamentals they will gain an appreciation for all of the computers embedded in the world around us that most do not notice.
Pro-coder level 1 – for children aged 11-15. This course is an introduction to Python, one of the world’s most popular programming languages, used by many of the world’s leading tech companies. They will complete coding puzzles and challenges as well as use a Raspberry pi single-board computer to do interesting projects. By the end of the course they will be ready to pass the official entry level python certification exam.
Each course will be a year long, consisting of three terms, by the end of which each child will have made significant strides in their digital skills journey. The prices are £450 and £400 per term for the Pro-coder and Gadgeteers/Script-kids classes respectively. Dates for the winter and spring terms will be published shortly.

Terms and conditions
If for any reason your child is unable to attend their lesson, they will be provided with resources to catch up on the missed content. There will be no make-up lessons and it will be your responsibility to make sure that they catch up at home.
There are no enrolments after the start of each term.
